Shore Winter Food Drive

Shifting the dial on food insecurity on the Shore.

Together.

The Shore Winter Food Drive is back again for 2025!

By working together, no single organisation or church has to do everything or have all the expertise.

It’s a win for everyone.

  • Hard-working organisations working to address food insecurity get much-needed support for the programmes they run.

  • Organisations and churches without the capacity to run a food programme are given a simple way to join the cause.

  • Struggling whānau and individuals get a bit of extra help this winter.

How we can help

  • Promotion

We need everyone to spread the word far and wide for people to donate approved items. This might look like sharing to your organisation’s social media platforms, or your email list, or putting a poster on your notice board.

  • Collection

We need organisations and churches to sign on as drop-off points for food items. If you have space in your building to collect boxes, this is a really easy way to help out.

  • Distribution

There is room for more distribution centres on the list. If you have an existing food donation programme running through your organisation or church and would like to help out, please get in touch!
